About Sophie
Sophie Civetta is a Chicago-based actress, comedian, writer, dancer, and choreographer. She is passionate about creating art that is both joyful and a catalyst for positive social change.
Sophie graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in theatre and dance, and she has completed The Second City Conservatory. Since moving to Chicago, Sophie has performed in numerous features, web series, short films, and commercials, including an upcoming feature, The Becomers, directed by Zack Clark that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
Aside from acting, Sophie was a preprofessional competitive hip-hop dancer for many years, and she has choreographed numerous musicals, even winning a People’s Choice Award at Northwestern’s Creative Arts Festival for her choreography of “His Name Is Lancelot” in Spamalot. Sophie has explored multiple facets of the entertainment industry through an internship at Paskal Rudnicke Casting and a job as a production assistant on Disney’s Timmy Failure, directed by Tom McCarthy.
Through all of these experiences, she has found a deep love for multiple aspects of the creative arts, and hopes that her career will continue to allow her to explore new aspects of performance. Except for karaoke. She will not be exploring karaoke.
